Adoption Lawyers

How much does it cost to get an adoption lawyer and go through the whole process? I know it can vary, but if some of you wouldn't mind, could you tell us how much money you spent? Thanks.
I think this will help many people out there who are looking into adoption and help them better understand if they can/cannot afford to adopt at this time in their lives.

 It's really hard to say

It's really hard to say how much an adoption will cost for each individual, because there are so many variables involved. I'm not done with the process yet, but I'm guessing we'll be up at about $10,000 by the time everything is done. I've heard cases of people going through the whole process for as low as $4,000. That's why it's so important to speak with an adoption agency and an attorney to figure out what kind of expenses will be associated with your specific adoption.

It blows my mind how much

It blows my mind how much everything can vary. This is why I'm going to take my time with the whole process and really make sure I have things figured out before I make my decision. I need to not only do what's best for the child I'm adopting but what's best for me as well.

 Couldn't agree with you

Couldn't agree with you more. You need to think about yourself and make sure you have everything together before you can think about bringing a child into your life. :)

 For sure. I've seen what

For sure. I've seen what having children too soon can do to people and it just makes everything really rough. I'm willing to be patient. Although, sometimes it's hard not to at least consider rushing into it.

 It confuses me how much

It confuses me how much the whole process can vary. I know I have a ways to go before I can afford such a thing.

I know how you feel! Trust

I know how you feel! Trust me.. I do :) Honestly though, if you take your time, do your research and make sure you're ready; it's not that bad. Rushing into things is what can cause problems.
