Babies being dumped

This makes me so angry! It doesn't happen as often as it used to thanks to the 72 hour rule (allowing you to bring your unwanted baby to a hospital employee and not be penalized in any way), but another baby has been dumped in my area. It breaks my heart because there are so many people in this world that want children. I would be more than happy to take that little baby and give it the life it deserves. Luckily, the baby is okay but why would a mother dump her baby in a dumpster? I just don't get it. Being scared is one thing, but evil is completely different and I feel that is plain evil.
Has this happened close to home for you as well?
