First Child: How old were you?

I don't have a biological child, but I adopted my baby girl in 2009 and I was 28 at the time. I feel like I picked a great age for myself. You learn so much about yourself as you get closer to 30. It amazes me all the time how much I'm changing.

 I haven't had a child yet and I have yet to adopt but I think mid twenties is a good time. I'm really not sure how old I'll be when I finally make the decision to go forward with the adoption process.

I had my son when I was 25.

I had my son when I was 25. I'm glad I waited that long instead of having children earlier because I wouldn't have been ready to deal with everything that comes along with taking care of another life.

 I think 25-30 is a great age to have children. I don't have any yet and I don't think I'm 100% ready and that's why I came to this site. I want to learn from others before I jump in. I keep hearing I'll know the time is right, so I'm trying to be extremely patient. Which is not easy!!
