Is it harder to get approved?

Is it harder to get approved as a single parent or is it the same as if a couple  were to try to adopt? This is something I've always wondered.

 I don't know from personal

I don't know from personal experience but I would think the process would be quicker because the agency is just dealing with your training and your background instead of two people. I could be wrong though, so don't quote me on that.

 As divorce becomes more

As divorce becomes more acceptable, so does single adoption. In the last 20 years or so single adoption has become increasingly more common and heard of. I would say it's harder because you have to be able to support a child alone instead of with the help of a spouse.

 I don't think it's harder

I don't think it's harder to get approved, persay but it is harder to make enough money. Instead of having a spouse to help make part of the money, you are responsible for making all of it. Legally though, I wouldn't call it 'harder'.. just 'different'.

 I agree with you there.

I agree with you there. Being a single parent is extremely hard. When you're with someone, you get a break and can share responsibilities. It can really wear you down being a single parent. Trust me, I know. It has it's ups and downs.
