Something I've always wondered is how people come up with the money for international adoption. If you've done this did you borrow, save or do it some other way?

It's always a good idea to speak with an adoption lawyer to make sure you understand all the paperwork, requirements etc.

Mom2B Posted at 20:16 on Wed, 08/31/2011I know the thought of getting a loan may seem intimidating, but it's not as bad as you may think. It never hurts to ask because you may qualify for a great loan and not have to spend as much out of pocket as you may think. Checking never hurts :)

I'm glad it worked out that way for me because I've always been pretty worried about getting loans. It's not easy to pay back but it's better to pay back someone without having to pay interest.

Be sure to do your research if you decide to go that route to get the best option for you. If you can't qualify for a loan, owing money to someone in your life who trusts you is a good option. No interest that way :P And, the person is more likely to work with you and be understanding if something sets you back a bit.
