Tougher Than It Looks

 I know people who are single parents or who take care of their children instead of working a 'real' job. In all honesty, taking care of children is like having a real job except you don't get an escape. I have such respect for those of you raising children on your own! I think what you're doing is amazing and one day your children are going to fully understand how much of yourself you gave to them. It's not easy.. I can see that from being around my friends.

 I'm always hearing people say this and I think it makes complete sense. Having a child is like having a job except you don't know when your breaks or lunches are going to be and you rarely get vacation. Lol.

 I think it's really hard for people to compare the two because for someone who isn't a stay at home parent, they only think about how nice it would be to be home more often because they're away so much. I think both are equally tough in their own ways (working a 'real' job vs taking care of children)

 I have so much respect for those people who do everything on their own. Raising a child as a pair is one thing; and even that can be difficult, but to do it all alone.. that's an amazing feat!!

 I'm completely with you! I think single parents deserve much more credit than they are often given. Raising a child on your own is not exactly an ideal situation and so many people do it. I say, more power to 'em!
