Why Adoption

Tags:

My view of adoption is best summed up by the quote below:

"People ask me. "What about gay adoptions? Interracial? Single Parent?" I say. "Hey fine, as long as it works for the child and the family is responsible." My big stand is this: Every child deserves a home and love. Period."

Hi liowkc, I couldn't agree

Hi liowkc,

I couldn't agree more. The main thing, the most important thing is whether it is good or bad for the child. I think so many people bring their prejudices with them that they fail to examine the key issue of whether the child is going to be raised in a loving home with a family that is responsible for them. Everything else seems trivial.

 I'm right there with you.

I'm right there with you. I think everyone deserves a shot at life. While some ways of life may not be acceptable to those around you; you gotta do what you gotta do and every child does deserve to be happy. It's upsetting how many people there are out there that are so closed minded. I don't think I'll ever understand their view, although I try my best to be openminded to them; even though they don't give others that kind of respect.

 I'm terrified of giving

I'm terrified of giving birth and I think there are many wonderful children out there who deserve a good home. I want to have a child and what better way to do that by making a child's life better in the process :)
